Ill-fated footprints;
Synthetic separation
Divided from earth
Man’s ephemeral presence
Washed away by Nature’s tears.

The photo for this week’s prompt was taken at the little bay below St Patrick’s Chapel, Heysham. Stuart and I visited the place at the start of our Discovering Albion tour. The Chapel is a no more than a ruin perched on the headland, yet there are many traces of its life …and its death… still there to explore.
It is a fascinating place to visit, as there are carved stones dating back to the Saxons and Vikings in the little church that replaced the old chapel, and a few yards away is the Barrows, the site of an ancient settlement, with traces of human habitation going back twelve thousand years.

Thank you so much to everyone who took part this week. All the posts are listed below, so please click on the links below to read them and leave a comment for the author! Thank you too, to everyone who reblogged the prompt, round up and the individual resposes!
A new prompt will be published later today. As always, I will reblog as many contributions as space allows, as they come in… and all of them will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.
Pingbacks do not always come through… if you have written a post for this challenge and it does not appear in the round-up, please leave a link to your post in the comments and I will add it to the list.
Come and join in!
