This year has been an incredible year for the Echo blog. But, in an echo of the physicists cat, I can write and publish on these pages till my fingers drop off, but the words are dead until those pages are read and you, the reader, bring the words to life.
I would like to thank every person who has visited this blog, read something, left a ‘like’ or a comment, shared or reblogged a post, written a guest post, or participated in the weekly writephoto prompt. I cannot thank everyone individually, but I would like to share a few of the posts and sites that have made the top slots on the stats page for the year.
Today, I am sharing those sites the stats have flagged as being the most ‘clicked’. A click-through is where a reader clicks on a reblog or link and is taken back, or ‘referred’, to the author’s original post. For me, this constitues a double thank you, as all of the sites listed below belong to writers who contribute regularly to the writephoto prompt… and they appear here because readers have taken the time to click through to the original post. In total, you have clicked through to just these few sites over ten thousand times this year.
In fact, I am listing thirteen sites today, as the top three sites are linked. The most clicked site is The Silent Eye, followed by the sites of Stuart France and Steve Tanham, my fellow directors of the School. It seems hardly fair to take up three places.

I may not be a great physicist, but think that when the probability wave has collapsed, there will be no pizza… Thanks Sue! And I have to thank you for prompting a lot of story ideas and, if I read this post correctly, for sending a lot of traffic my way. As Ritu said, I feel honored to be in such great company 🙂

I am also really glad to see that so many people have actually clicked through to read the articles when I have only posted excerpts. That always worries me… will they, won’t they? But it seems they do 🙂

If in the original experiment you didn’t know the state of the cat until the probability waves have collapsed (i.e., you peek into the box), I think leaving the pizza in with the cat we know the answer without looking 😉
I always try to click through when people repost something. For things like your challenges, the whole point is to click through and read the entire thing in its original, even if it is short and you already have 99% on your page.
