Ani’s Advent Invitation: Dot (and Darlene Foster) with a letter to Santa

I had a letter from a fellow sufferer. That phrase, “You never know what my mom will make me wear…” It made me cringe… The antlers were bad enough…. and she didn’t keep them on me for any longer than it took her to grab a picture or three.

I consider I was very restrained in my disposal of them. I even left them with stuffing in.

I sincerely hope she hasn’t got anythine else up her sleeve… I may not be so restrained next time…

Dot, though, who looks after Darlene Foster, seems to be a little more forgiving than me…

Much love, Ani xxx

Dot’s letters

Hi Ani!

Here is my letter to Santa. Thanks for sending these on. I’ve sent a picture so Santa knows what I look like. Hope you don’t have to dress up. You never know what my mom will make me wear.

Licks, Dot

Dear Santa,

Its almost Christmas and I’ve been a very good dog. Most of the time, except when I chase the neighbor’s cat.

For Christmas, I would like a new toy, one with lots of stuffing that I can pull out. And please one with no awful squeaky thing inside because they scare me. I also would like a bone to chew on. Well, maybe two or three as I go through them fast. And Santa, please don’t bring any snow because I don’t like it. I’m a Spanish dog and we don’t like being cold. No yukky rain either. Please don’t come down the chimney as that would really scare me and mom wouldn’t like the mess it would make.

I promise to be good and not chase the cat anymore. At least I’ll try but he teases me and, well sometimes I just can’t help myself.

Love,

Dot the dog

PS Don’t bother bringing the cat anything. He’s not been good at all!

Is this stone worth ruining Leah’s holiday and placing them both in danger? Spend time with Amanda as she explores her own country while attempting to decipher the mysterious writing on the stone and keep it from those determined to take it from her.

  4. Dear Dot The Dog, If you need to kill those scary squeakers, me and Gibbs can usually kill them with one firm jaw grab. They make a half a squeak, then they don’t squeak again. Ever. Gibbs likes to pull them out of stuffing so we can spread the stuff around without the silly plastic thing getting in our way. Remember — ONE FIRM CHOMP and you’ve got it! Don’t be scared. Just CHOMP.

    Happy Holidays,

    Duke The Dogge

I wish you could come over and kill the awful squeakers for me. Dad has to take them out before I will play with any new toys. You and Gibbs sound like dogs I would love to play with. Happy Christmas, Dot. bow wow

  7. Clever idea for a Santa letter. And, I’m sure that are many dogs, including my Archie, that don’t like two wear any dog outfits or head bands. But he sure loves those squeaky toys. Merry Christmas!

  11. I hope Dot gets lots of bones and a bunch of stuffed animals. Chasing cats is kind of understandable – they can be kind of annoying to dogs. Merry Christmas!

  14. Lovely to meet Dot had read about her Christmas wishes, Ani. Father Christmas certainly can’t come down our chimney – we hardly have one here in South Africa as it is so hot.

  15. Wonderful letters! Ani – I don’t blame you a bit. My (now angel) dog Henry was mortified when we tried to dress him up for Santa. He made ‘mince meat’ out of the bell color we placed around his neck. Spot – you deserve everything you ask Santa for. Lots of stuffed toys to destroy – with no squeaker inside. Henry asked for the exact same thing every Christmas.
Thanks for the warm-hearted fun, Sue and Darlene! xoxox

Dot, you’re a dog after my own heart! You know your mind and aren’t afraid to speak it (at least not to Santa 🙂 ) I hope you get the toys you prefer and lots of bones to chew on. And Ani, you’re a dynamite host and deserve to get everything you want (even if Sue puts the kibosh on it 🙂 ) Merry Christmas Ani, Sue, Dot, and Darlene! ❤❤❤❤

  17. Darlene says:

Merry Christmas, Tina. You are my sort of person, kind to dogs and humans. Santa will be here soon. Apparently, I´ll be needing a bath before he comes. Not sure I like that. But if it gets me a new toy or bone, I guess I´ll put up with it. Dot bow wow.
