Thursday photo prompt – Shore #writephoto

#writephoto

Use the image below to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, by noon (GMT)  Wednesday 26th April and link back to this post with a pingback. Please make sure that the pingback works and if not, copy and paste your link into the comments section of this post.

Please note: I will be away from the computer for a good while this week as we share the Silent Eye annual April workshop and then head off to spend time with friends from across the sea in some of the most mysterious landscapes of Albion…

Reblogs and responses to comments will be a little errratic until I am back at the screen, but all posts will feature in the round-up.

Don’t forget to use the #writephoto hashtag in your title so your posts can be found.

You can find all last week’s entries in the round-up. Please visit and read the stories and poems and explore the sites of their writers.

I will feature as many entries as I can on the blog during the week, but given the volume of contributions we are getting every week, that will not be all of them! All posts will be included in a round up on Thursday 27th April.

Feel free to use #writephoto logo or include the prompt photo in your post if you wish or you can replace it with one of your own to illustrate your work.

Have fun!

I love spending time on the sand flats. I have quite a few photos of tidal streams cutting through the sand, so this photo takes me to the places I know and love. That being said, I decided to go someplace totally different today 😉 https://trentsworldblog.wordpress.com/2017/04/20/shore-writephoto/

    #writephoto–shore: the other shore

The picture reminds me of the tidal flats in Nova Scotia around Cape Blomidon — original home of the Acadians, French peasants who moved to their New World in the early 1600s, only to be expelled from L’Acadie by the British, Le Grand Dérangement, during one of the many wars with France beginning in 1755. I used to live above the dike lands they originally created on the salt grass marshes. A bit of nostalgia and a mini-history lesson. Ooops — this comment is a post!
