In theory, what ought to be happening today is relaxation, time out for a deep breath before plunging into the adventure of the weekend. In reality, the day will be filled with final preparations, last minute tweaks and packing and as much practice as we can get for those sequences where we will have to abandon the script and work from whatever the moment brings.
Appetites will be reduced to a minimum, thoughts will be wandering between the necessary practicalities and that ‘otherwhere’ to which we are heading. It isn’t nerves so much as anticipation.
The dictionary defines the verb ‘to anticipate’ in three basic ways… to regard as probable, to guess what will happen and try to be prepared, and to look forward with excitement. Yes, we’ve got all those covered…especially the last. It also defines anticipation as acting as a forerunner to something, which could well apply to the ‘accelerated evolution’ that is one of the ideas behind the deliberate and dedicated choosing of a spiritual path.
Many choose to study the literature of spirituality, revelling in the intellectual challenge of theories, symbols and correspondences. While such study may be invaluable in opening the doors to understanding, it is not until you start to put those ideas into practice in daily life that you begin to really understand them. Spirituality is not about filling…or even emptying…the mind. It is about Being what you Are.
As with any other learning process, the gap between knowledge and understanding can only be filled by experience and a fair few slips along the way. And, no matter how carefully you lay your plans, you are bound to come up against the unexpected… learning to accept that and move forward anyway is part of the process.
No matter how carefully we have written, checked and double-checked the script, there will be flaws and errors. No matter how meticulously we practice, the tongue will mangle the words and feet will trip over hems. Are we going to agonise over ‘what if’…or just go ahead and have fun and see what happens? No contest really.
So, wish us luck… please don’t mention breaking legs… and enjoy the adventure with us 🙂
Bon Chance!

Beautiful – This really resonates with me ❤ It's been one of those weeks where some of the learning has come as a shock…lol. But… the only way to go is on, grinning at the beauty of possiblility, giving it my best and trusting in my path ❤ Thanks Sue
