Guest author: G. Michael Vasey – Ghosts of the Living and Being in Two Places at Once

A recent call with my mother resulted in my latest book. Knowing my interests, my mother surprised me by telling me how on three separate occasions, she had seen her sister. The first time, she was in the kitchen and turned around to see the apparition oh her sister. It slowly faded away. The second time, she saw her outside the front door but by the time she got to the door, no one was there. A third instance shook her up quite a bit. Why? Well seeing a ghost is a scary thing but especially if the person whose ghost you see is still alive!

I was hooked – ghosts of the living.

Just recently, I came up with the idea to try a series of short Kindles. Each would be a short read on a particular paranormal topic under the series heading of ‘Paranormal Eyewitness’. Each book would be priced at 99pence or 99 cents and never cost more. Actually, what that means is that Amazon gets more money than I do as it is a 35% royalty at that price. However, I wanted to be putting out a few books to keep my name in front of people yet I don’t have the time to be writing long books.

The first book in the series re-visted the urban legend of black-eyed people. This has been popular in the USA where this myth is apparently of more interest. In fact, there does appear to be an epidemic of BEK sightings all across the country!

The storyline of each encounter follows a similar format. There is a knock at the door in the early hours and there stand two or more children dressed in rather old fashioned black clothing. The homeowner feels a real feeling of foreboding and is very scared but feels compelled to ask why small children are out alone in the dead of night. The kids ask to come in. They speak in monotonous voices, rather hypnotic actually, and use strange words and phrases. The puzzled homeowners fear turns to outright horror when they notice that the kids all have jet black eyes…..

What would I do for a second in the series? Then my mother called and I had it. Ghosts of the Living. It’s a short but I hope fun and scary, read through things like doppelgangers, bilocation, astral projection, and remote viewing. It features some true encounters along with my own narrative and analysis. One encounter was submitted by Sue and an interesting experience it was too!

In doing the research, I came to an interesting conclusion. What if, in moments of danger or moments of near sleep, we can accidentally bilocate (be in two places at once). Might this not explain the doppelganger concept? It might also explain my mother’s experiences. Bilocation is something that Saints are said to have been adept at but other magical and mystical people were reputed to have the same ability like the enigmatic St. Germain, for example. Could it be that my Aunt can bilocate without knowing about? I wish I could – I could write longer books that way….

I am very interested in the accounts of the black eyed children. Also, before Becca moved up to Scotland she said she woke to see me in her bedroom. I don’t remember and if I was there, I didn’t know I was doing it. lol

  7. I earned $14.31 during 2016, but had to fill out half a dozen pieces of paper for taxes. But I’m REALLY ahead this year. I’ve earned more than $5 and it’s only March! Gonna be a BIG year for me.

if you put the little stories up, I’ll buy them. I like short pieces, especially as I fall asleep.
