Reflections #WorldPoetryDay

Ancient bowls of stone
Embracing earth holds the sky
Clouds mirror themselves
Within the silver surface
I am myself reflected

Dawn breaks, waking to beauty. I am a bridge between worlds. Far below, the valley sleeps beneath the veil, unknowing and unknown. The intimate embrace of earth-born mist dances with the cool caress of the sky. The breath of morning shimmers and shifts, smoke within the bowl. Breathless possibility breaks my fast as I drink the tears of morning. We are kindred spirits.

 Empyreal flame
Vivifying motes of dust
As Eden weeps
