The photo for this week’s prompt was taken in Scotland, on the coast of the ancient kingdom of Fife. It was a strange day…quite apart from being my companion’s birthday… On the road before dawn until very late, we passed through centuries of history and legend, from glorious sunshine to snow…from cities to peaceful fishing villages… and never seemed to rush. It still seems impossible that we could have discovered and experienced so much in one short day and still managed to find time for a birthday dinner in Edinburgh. I think the telling of that one day alone took about a week! The tale of the whole trip…with the odd police chase, a mystery and a policeman with a penchant for pork pies, formed the basis of But ‘n’ Ben.
More wonderful entries this week. Thank you to everyone who took part. Please click on the links below to visit all the posts and leave a comment for the author! A new prompt will be published later today and I will reblog as many as I can through the week… but given the volume of entries we are getting now, that will not be all of them. All contributions will be featured in the round-up on Thursday.
The vagaries of WordPress mean that occasionally a pingback won’t get through. If you have written a piece for this week’s challenge and it does not appear below, please leave a link in the comments and I will add it to the list.
Come and join in!
Horizon
Timeless horizon
Both alpha and omega
‘Twixt earth and heaven
In silent contemplation
Poised between night and morning
