Simplicity

Burgeoning jewels
A cluster of chalices
Raised to catch the sun

As sun warms the land
A goddess awakening
Chooses her parure

Petalled amethysts
In lieu of glittering stones
Offer their fragrance

Her brow is adorned
With bridal simplicity
Her only riches

She knows no border
No door is closed to her smile
Nor path forbidden

Vivacious colour
And a lightness of being
Follow her footsteps

We drink from her cup
The bridal bower blossoms
As spring weds the sun

Sue maintained a popular blog and is co-author of The Mystical Hexagram with Dr G.M.Vasey. Sue lived in Buckinghamshire, having been stranded there due to an accident with a blindfold, a pin and a map. Lovely post, Sue – not least because yesterday’s spring sunshine has disappeared leaving grey skies and drizzle.
