Use the image below to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, by noon (GMT) Wednesday 15th March and link back to this post with a pingback. Please make sure that the pingback works and if not, copy and paste your link into the comments section of this post.
Don’t forget to use the #writephoto hashtag in your title so your posts can be found.
You can find all last week’s entries in the round-up. Please visit and read the stories and poems and explore the sites of their writers.
I will feature as many entries as I can on the blog during the week, but given the volume of contributions we are getting every week, that will not be all of them! All posts will be included in a round up on Thursday 16th March.
Feel free to use #writephoto logo or include the prompt photo in your post if you wish or you can replace it with one of your own to illustrate your work.
Have fun!
Another fabulous photo Sue 🤗

Hi Sue. Nice photo. I thought of a very different shoreline for my story. The name isn’t mentioned in the story, but the story is about Nantucket: https://trentsworldblog.wordpress.com/2017/03/09/horizon-writephoto/

A name I know only by reputation, Trent.

It is a very pretty island, as far as quaint, New England islands go. They make a huge deal out of their whaling past – it is the port where the ship Pequod sailed out of in the book Moby Dick.

I recognised the name from the book and from several songs.

Not really a story, but the image is so like a scene from what I’m currently writing, I couldn’t think of anything else.

It fits perfectly though… and it is a great extract too.

It’s not even a proper extract, more an adaptation of an extract. I’m editing the second part of the story which means I’ve written about 210000 words on this theme. I’m a little bit submerged by it at the moment 🙂

It is still a great introduction to the new book… you’ll have to come over for a guest post when you come up for air 🙂

Thank you 🙂 I’m really hoping I can get somebody serious interested in it. I’m sick of small publishers that do bugger all and I’m useless at self-publishing. If I get lucky I’ll let you know.
