One of those days

images

There are days that hang in memory

Like the fine mist of morning,

Gilded by the risen sun.

Momentary splendours, full of light

Sun-kissed days, on hilltops touched with snow

But whispering of Spring

Snowdrops’ promise pledged beneath the trees,

Handfasted to Summer’s warmer glow,

The breeze a fanfare, laughing.

Today was such a one.

Lovely imagery. Almost spring 💗 I’m writing a poem too right now about ‘the month in between’.

You’ve got the “touch” or the “gift” or the “whatever-you-call-it.” You’ve just proved that today! Today was an indoors day for me, but I didn’t let it stop it from being one of those days. Your poem helped with that!

As the weather in my neck of the woods is appalling today, your post was a welcome reminder of days to come… and bloody soon, please!
