Happy New Year!

For many, 2016 seemed a year of gathering darkness. The world has seemed full of sadness, anger and fear. There is a sense of helplessness; what can we do in face of events that shape our world? We can choose to be ourselves and not be ruled by fear.

We can listen with care, speak with kindness. We can act with compassion, treating others as we would be treated. We can remember that peace begins with us, in our own hearts. It wouldn’t be a bad place to start.

May the light that is in each of us shine for all.

Very true. It’s easy to dwell on the catastrophes of the past. I’m trying to be optimistic and focus on the small things I can do, rather than be dominated by the large things I can’t change. Interesting times we live in. Happy and successful 2017 to you and yours, Sue. Xxx

Thank you. You too. I was just reading Nicks post about his holiday… oh, my heart was bleeding for him at the beginning, but it didn’t last long… soon I was rejoicing! He had a great time from the looks of it, and learned something important about himself too. What an amazing young man. Xxx
