Dear Santa, just a little note
About the Christmas tree…
All garlanded with tennis balls
And all of them for me!
There was a little squeaky pup
That makes a lot of noise,
A rope we can play tug games with
And loads of other toys.
Then I looked up, what did I see?
The best treat yet by far!
Up there upon the Christmas tree
…A chicken flavour star!
And then my boy came round as well
For lunch and stayed all day…
Which meant he could play ball with me
And play, and play and play!
And lunch was good, with turkey,
Bacon, sausages and stuff…
And loads of lovely leftovers,
When they had had enough!
I wanted to say thank you,
‘Cause you had a busy night,
Deploying all those tennis balls
To make my Christmas bright!
So, put your feet up, Santa,
Have a snooze or two and then
We’ll soon be into next year…
You can do it all again!

What a cute way to give Ani her gifts. Tink gets his in stockings – but not until 12th Nite. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! (it’s almost 3AM here, and Tink and I are whipped – just returning from the home of a friend).

Lovely poem Sue. Love the last stanza because it is so true. Many say; “Next year I’m not going to go so crazy with decorating, cooking, baking and shopping but we will and will love every minute of the hustle and bustle of it all. And, when we again get to sit down and put our feet up and relax the same happiness and contentment will be there waiting to cover us like a warm blanket. xo

Oh, sausage rolls! I spied some small ready cooked sausages (no pastry) going into the fridge earlier. And packets of crunchy stuff. And small sticky trifles. And cheese.
That means nibbles. And nibbles means titbits. And titbits means there’ll be some for me. I’m ready! Love Maggie xx

Yes i could imagine Sue, our little angel is also like that. My daughter keeps on getting these soft toys for her and my son brings cute plastic balls which she makes into a pulp.

wow Ani, you gots lots too. I got squeaky toys, chew toys, and festive treats that tasted like they were made in heaven. I thanked Santa very much. Glad to see you had a great Christmas Ani, me too, much paw love Dante. xxx
