My apologies for being quiet… it has been Christmas here this weekend; an early one and a restful, lovely one… once we finally made it home after chasing across the country in a thick, pea-soup of a fog.
Even the blog has given me gifts this weekend as, at some point since Friday, it passed 12,000 followers, 350,000 views… of which over 140,000 were this year… and from 142 countries,… with almost 70,000 comments.
I started this blog in April 2011, posted a couple of times and completely forgot about it.
I picked it up again a year later, began sharing some of my son’s journey… and didn’t really begin to write properly till we began work on The Silent Eye in the summer of 2012.
There is a growing number of books born of friendship and the work we do… and the confidence that has grown in the writing of this blog.
When I first began blogging, I never expected anyone to read what I was writing and looked in awe at any blog that had followers in triple figures. The stats today are just incredible, awesome… mind-boggling!
Added to the nomination for the UK blog awards as well, you have brought this blogging year to an unbelievable close for me!
So.. I just wanted to say to everyone who has supported the blog this year…
