Hi, Sue. I love your last line best. There is something about being “deeply rooted” that really moves me. ❤

When you are out there in the wild places, feeling rooted comes naturally 🙂

I do miss that. We live in a housing area that is new. I don’t get the nature walks I used to have.

That is the best thing about my new place… it IS a new place, but right on the edge of the village with fields all round.

Oh, that’s nice. We are rural but the fields are fenced off. I will have to take more pictures. It is wide open spaces!

We have a network of access paths through the countryside, thankfully. But I do have a field at the end of my garden… even though, to Ani’s disgust, it is usually full of cows.

LOL! I can only imagine. Our back garden is quite small now. I like that, don’t get me wrong. It’s easier to take care of. I do miss the wildlife. I have some finches that visit so that helps. I did hear the coyotes howling this spring and waking us up in the middle of the night. They always sound so haunting.

Ah, we have nothing like the coyotes… badgers, deer and foxes are the only ‘large’ mammals we have left here really.
