Photo prompt round-up – Captured #writephoto

This week’s photo prompt of  the stones at Avebury stone circle drew some wonderfully different entries and I have reblogged as many as possible. Captured

As the sun set, he heard it again. Three cycles of the sun he had waited spellbound, while the midsummer grass had grown around him. Listening.

For the third time, he heard it begin… of a deep, slow heartbeat that would last a full cycle of the sun.

Others joined in, each adding their own peculiar note to the thrumming symphony that encircled him.

He dare not breathe, lest he break the spell. His heart slowed to match the rhythm of the song, captured by the music of the heart.

When the sun rose, a new stone had joined the dance…
