This week’s photo prompt drew some wonderfully different entries and I have reblogged as many as possible. Thank you to everyone who took part, read and commented. Please click the links to read any you have missed! If you have written a post for the prompt and it does not appear here, please let me know in the comments so that I can include it here.
Snowmaiden
Snowmelt seeps through the denim as he waits, concealed by the sparse leaves of the holly. Why? Whisky makes the craziest stories sound plausible…
Clouds of breath freeze, falling to earth as crystals.
Moonlight strikes the steps, the silence deepens…an amorphous form shimmers in the half light.
The shutter clicks, breaking the silence… the figure pauses, swirls and turns…
His fingers freeze to the camera, the lens is obscured by sudden frost. From the mist, a pair of eyes, her eyes, seek and find his own….
The silence is broken by snow-muffled laughter…
Even the craziest tales hold some truth…

They were great, weren’t they? I wish I’d thought of doing this earlier! If it hadn’t been for the suggestion from a fellow blogger, I wouldn’t have done then either 🙂

I’ll be makin g my way through these slowly. 🙂
I attempted something: http://thesoundofwhathappens.com/2016/03/25/the-winter-born/ It’s just small. I tried making it 99 words, that was hard.
