Congratulations!

I’ve only had a phone call. I have seen no pictures except one on Twitter and heard only the briefest account as yet. Nick will write about ‘the most amazing day’ himself. It is probably just as well I wasn’t there… I’d have been a soggy wreck… but a proud one.

Nick said he was just saying a few words at the UKABIF convention that he attended in London yesterday, accompanied by Eva and Heather, the physiotherapists from the Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital who had competed with him in the Triathlon. To stand and speak would have been a wonderful achievement in itself.

Instead, my son received the UKABIF Stephen McAleese Award for Inspiration 2015.

Congratulations, Nick. I wish I could have been there to see it. I’m so very proud of you.
